As part of the “In silico MedTech” funding initiative of the “Central Innovation Program for SMEs” (ZIM), researchers, clinicians, engineers, and industry partners gathered in Magdeburg to discuss current developments in the fields of medical technology, resilience research and innovation in healthcare.

A particular highlight was the tour of our workshop. Participants gained fascinating insights into the development of highly realistic medical training phantoms and had the opportunity to try them out for themselves. The event concluded with an interactive demonstration of robot-assisted thoracic surgery in the operating room, during which current technologies and future developments in the fields of robotics, simulation, digitalization, and AI were discussed.

The event demonstrated once again how important interdisciplinary collaboration is for translating innovative ideas into clinical practice and actively shaping medical progress.
